Holiday Happenings 2022
We had the best time this holiday season. It started with hosting Thanksgiving for the first time ever and my sister+family came too. Market Street knows its stuff, LOL. We also spent time at Home for the Holidays downtown and even got a special brunch with Santa at Rick's Chophouse (thanks Kayti!). Other fun included staff caroling with my school family, working a fun JLCC holiday meeting, and all the seasonal celebrations that make elementary school awesome. Van Alstyne had a sweet tree lighting ceremony we went to with the neighbors too, plus lots of driving to look at lights. C had a cute party and a little concert at school plus weeks of special crafts and holiday-themed learning.
Over the big break, we had lots of local fun at play places, antiquing, and visits with friends - 903 Brewery with the Matherlys, seeing the Seilings a few times while they were in DFW, visits from the Cokers, New Year's Eve with the Roseberrys, a fancy dinner out Jillian and Bowie, and family playdates with the McCords. We wrapped things up by opening gifts in Carrollton on New Year's day too. Favorite gifts from Santa and family included My Little Pony figurines, Chelsea's camper, and other Barbie stuff, a stuffed giraffe, and a new big bike.
