Spring in Review {2022}
Somehow spring of 2022 has come and gone. Between setting up the new house, work, and life with a 3.5-year-old things have been fun and busy.
Getting moved into the new house and enjoying our yard and getting to know our new area - making friends at Preston Trail Farms, visiting the Sherman Celtic Festival, and finding a few new parks (Gunter Park, Baldwin Park, and Slayter Creek for the win)
CC bringing home Covid from daycare. This happened in January right when the rest of the world had a surge, Matt most likely had it and maybe I did too but tests were hard to come by at the time. We ended up being home for about a week with mild symptoms. Lots of kids and teachers ended up sick in January too so work was pretty crazy covering for classes and subbing.
We also started to go out in the world again with CC since Covid isn't as big of a worry - we went to several birthday parties at germ-filled places and had a blast doing the normal parenting thing: KidMania, Playstreet, Cheeky Monkey's and other places with crazy names. :)
Celebrating Matt's birthday
Getting to know our new neighbors: Big bonus that we have all great people in our cul de sac
Galveston getaway for spring break
Matt went to Arkansas for a disc golf weekend with Mike in March
I went to Nashville to see Megan in April
Arts in Bloom and Cottonwood Creek Art Festival (love my new piece!)
My Morning Jacket concert for Matt
Trying KidStrong (kid's ninja gym class) for a few weeks with CC - clearly I liked it more than her but still glad we tried something new
Blair's Cinco de Mayo Party at their new pool - hooray for seeing friends again in person
Collin County Adventure Camp weekend with my parents - lots of fun, can't wait to go again someday
Wrapping up the school year - Matt's 2nd year at Collin and my 8th at McClure are in the books
And a few visits from Maggie and Lydia too
