July Highlights-
- Enjoyed CC's first parade - big fan of the downtown McKinney 4th of July events
- A lake weekend getaway to Pottsoro for me with my sorority sisters, not as fancy as our last Fredericksburg trip but still lots of fun
- Finished up some house prep with drywall work, AC maintenance, and other little things, including a surprise need to replace our tankless hot water heater (boo!, and probably related to the February storms)
- Disc golf for Matt, a few last visits with the Sielings, and dinner out for me+Megan+Jennifer - we are bummed to say goodbye to Kirk+Megan+Kids as they relocated to Tennessee, big change for all of us!
- We also soaked up our last summer in our old house with almost daily walks in the historic district while CC was at school and family swimming in the evenings (including special guest Lydia while she was in town).
August Highlights-
- Work, work, work - August is always our busiest time of year, Matt started year 2 at Collin and it is year 8 at McClure for me
- Matt had his annual draft weekend shindig with his friends in the Texas Tech fraternity league
- My sister relocated to Galveston, can't wait to visit their new old historic home!
- We also did the usual parks and grandparent visits on the weekends (closer now that Betsy is in-process of moving to McKinney aka temporarily living in a hotel while her new house is finished up)
