:: 2021 :: January / February
January Highlights-
February Highlights-
- Celebrated the holidays over New Year's weekend
- Matt turned 40!
- Back to school, back to work, and back to the usual routine of parks, disc golf, and grandparent visits on the weekends, and unfortunately, my lovely Aunt Vickie also passed away unexpectedly
- I got my first Covid vaccine - yay! A big thank you to McKinney ISD for arranging it for us, apparently, we are the first group of school employees in DFW to all be vaccinated too, lucky me!
We're immune - yay!
February Highlights-
- Matt led a month-long lecture series on Zoom for community members with great success, it was all about Controversial Presidential Elections of the Nineteenth Century
- We celebrated the super bowl at the Seiling house, explored Trinty Falls nearby, and worked on our New Year's resolution to drink more cocktails with bloody Mary's and mimosas
- After a year-long talk about what's next on the housing front, we took some action and committed to building a new house, eek! More updates coming soon.
- We survived the Texas electrical winter weather disaster - not fun: Snovid
- Started to clean the yard and pool after the storm damage, we're not sure how many plants we lost but it shouldn't be too bad, so far we've ended up with about $700 to repair the pool equipment and booster pump (this was on the lower end thanks to Matt) and an $800 truck repair - this wasn't 100% weather but that definitely pushed things along, we still feel good to be under $2,000 in considering how harsh the weather was and how many problems our neighbors and coworkers have seen
