We ended up with two different spring break weeks - the first week off for me with lots of lounging and plant shopping, then a week off for Matt for disc golf and planting
A weekend trip to Palo Duro Canyon
Matt's dissertation defense - big news!
Spending time with family while my grandfather was sick & remembering Papa
Celebrating Junior League's 40th Anniversary with 40 projects, so grateful I get to help the community and improve myself through my involvement with JLCC
Fun at the Denison Culture of Arts Festival, McKinney Arts in Bloom (3 days/3 visits), visiting Bonham, and eating on the square with my parents (their first trips to Snug & Mellow Mushroom)
24 hours in San Antonio for the library convention, it didn't work out quite right with work/time/money so it was a quick visit for TLA this time, but my session was highly attended and helpful so the drive was worthwhile (plus I got to finish listening to Making Oprah and Only Human)
A busy Junior League month working at our Trinkets to Treasures rummage sale, taking a great class on emotional intelligence, and interviewing for next year's placement - looking forward to working on new service projects through the Done in a Day committee
And lots of spring antiquing - we've been having fun as McKinney pickers collecting vintage landscape paintings, current favorite shops are Touch of Class in Sherman (also a random history museum), Antique Company Mall, and High Street Market in Plano
We (Matt) did a lot over spring break - annual spring landscaping, plus an overdue pool repair (the spa gets hot again-yay!), an overdue oven repair = buying a new oven, buying a hedge trimmer, sound bar for the den, and stocking up on pool supplies for the season and other yard maintenance.
