For the grand finale of my 30 things I attempted Julia Child's famous Boeuf Bourguignon. After watching Julie & Julia, like everyone else I wanted to give this dish a try. This was also my first time cooking with wine and I've got to admit it was a little strong at first - guess there's a reason it's called beef + burgundy.
Dining with Debbie - I did alter Julia's original a bit by using the slow cooker instead of the oven, but since it is summer in Texas leaving the oven on for 3+ hours just wasn't an option.
