Dallas Blooms

Welcome spring! A few of my favorite photos from our trip to the Dallas Arboretum over spring break.

I've got a few more (ok, lots more) flower photos on my Flickr page too. I'm definitely loving my new camera.

Spring Break Fun

One of the best things about working in education is that we'll always have spring break, and this year's break has been one of the best...
  • Heard the amazing Adele at the Granada Theater with Maggie and Rozan
  • Bought my new camera - a Nikon D60!
  • Took a mini-road trip to Sulphur, Oklahoma with Duncan, stayed at the Lazy M Cabins (a place we won't be visiting again), went hiking at Lake Murray State Park, visited downtown Davis and Sulphur, and stopped at numerous "Scenic Turnouts" along I-35
  • Met Angie and Hunter for dinner at the Love Shack in the Fort Worth Stockyards - Matt hasn't had a heart attack from the Double Dirty Love Burger quite yet
  • Went on Truitt's first trip to the Dallas Arboretum with Kirk, Megan, and Maggie, and snagged tons of great pictures (coming soon)

Winter in Review

With spring coming in quick, here's a wrap-up of some of the highlights from the winter...
  • Took a quick day trip to College Station for Matt to visit the Texas A&M history department, complete with a delicious lunch at the Dixie Chicken.
  • Welcomed Kirk and Megan's new baby, Truitt Knox, born on January 28th - Matt's 28th birthday!
  • Celebrated our nephew Tyler's 2nd birthday, Wiggles-style.
  • Put our house on the market, but with only 4 showings so far we're not counting on it selling. :(
  • Spent Valentine's Day in McKinney with a fabulous lunch at Poppy's followed by browsing the square, then funnel cake and people watching at Trade Days.
  • Celebrated Rozan's birthday at Carraba's.
  • Visited Maggie's PT school for fun, free therapy.
  • Took Duncan on a day trips to the Providence Dog Park and Lake Ray Roberts State Park - lucky dog.
Upcoming fun: Adele concert, spring break in Oklahoma, bedroom mini-makeover, a trip to Fort Worth to visit the botanical gardens and stockyards, and who knows what else.

It's been two months and I'm still going strong with Project 365.
A few from February...
